Minstrel Stakes at Leopardstown

Leopardstown, Thursday 27 July: The Minstrel Stakes (3rd race/16.00/111,600 pounds/1408m), cancelled at the Curragh last Sunday, will be made up today in an eight-race meeting at Leopardstown.

The Group 2 test is reminiscent of Romanised, who won the fixture in 2019/2020. Tarawa (Chris Hayes), from the Dermot Weld quarters, is highly rated after her recent List honours. Zarinsk (Colin Keane) and Lord Massusus (Gary Carroll) were not listed starters four days ago. The three-year-old pleases with her fresh win in the Brownstown Stakes (Group 3), while the Murphy charge ran very well in the Celebration Stakes (List race) when fourth to Tarawa. Aidan O`Brien, who provided the winner of the last two years (Order Of Australia), saddles Salt Lake City (Seamie Heffernan) with first chances. His son Joseph is represented by three competitors. Honey Girl (Dylan Browne McMonagle) should own the best chances. Power Under Me (Seamie Heffernan) will find great following from success in the Amethyst Stakes (Group 3).
