Queen For You the winner in the Lyric Stakes?

York, Friday 28th July: The two-day festival in York kicks off today with a seven-race map centered on the Lyric Fillies Stakes (Race 5/8:15pm/68,000lbs/2063m/listed races).

Queen For You (Robert Havlin), coached by John and Thady Gosden, registers the first chances. The three-year-old just barely missed victory here in May at age group level. Fifth place in the Coronation Stakes (Group 1) confirmed the good running of the Kingman daughter, who this time primarily has to deal with Electric Eyes (Daniel Tudhope). The little tested mare recently announced herself as second in the Group 2 Rockfel Stakes. Midnight Mile (Oisin Orr) proved on location in the Musidora Stakes (Group 3) that she is among the extended top of the year. Long Ago (Oisin Murphy) arrives with two wins and needs to be considered as well as Golden Lyra (Paul Mulrennan) who is better as their current forms reflect.
