Izoard Vedaquais still top with allowance?

Vichy, Tuesday, 4 July: One of the highlights of the season in Vichy is the Grand Prix du Conseil Municipal (6th race/16.43 h/120,000 Euro/2950 m), which belongs to Group 2 and is contested today by eleven horses from two bands.

Trainer Jean-Michel Bazire is represented with two horses. He himself rides Elie de Beaufour, who finished well in the Prix des Ducs de Normandie (Group 2) in fifth place, and his son Nicolas rides Gently de Muze, who finished fourth and was already clearly ahead of his stablemate here in the Prix Vichy Celestins (Course A). Both have to make up an allowance, which is also true for Izoard Vedaquais (Alexandre Abrivard). The Bird Parker son, trained by Philippe Allaire, started his career with a winning streak, but had to settle for mostly place finishes last year. At his comeback in the Prix Jean le Gonidec (Group 3), he pleased with third place. Ideal du Pommeau (Matthieu Abrivard) has first chances with ribbon advantage. Last year`s winner of the Grand Prix de l`U.E.T. (Group 1), however, enters from the break. Gitano (Theo Duvaldestin) hurries from victory to victory, but will have to improve considerably here, which also applies to Kennedy (David Bekaert), who narrowly missed out on full success in the Prix de New York (Course A).
