Eight interesting races in Enghien

Enghien, Wednesday 5 July: Eight thoroughly challenging races will be decided today at Enghien, where the introductory Prix Florence Lecellier (1st race/16.08/59,000 euros/2875m) brings together the highest class of the day at the start.

In this `Course D` with horses in the winning category up to 270,000 euros, participants with an account balance of 170,000 euros or more have to pay an allowance. Great of Madrik (Matthieu Abrivard) should be able to cope with the extra 25 metres, as his most recent victory in Vincennes was very commanding. Gendreen (Alexandre Abrivard), who was third in Grand National du Trot last time, and Gold Voice (David Thomain), who followed about two lengths behind in sixth, should also play a supporting role. Of the basic brand, Fifty Black (Anthony Barrier), winner twice at Vincennes in June, stands out. Fairplay Forever (Francois Lecanu) showed an improvement in form at Mauquenchy and is expected to be in the front line, as is the show-stopping Fax Madrik (Franck Ouvried) and Drop de l`Iton (Eric Raffin), whose May victory deserves a note.
