Wöhler chance in the Prix Servanne

Chantilly, Thursday, 4 May: The first of a total of three Listed races this late afternoon in Chantilly is aimed at older sprinters. In the Prix Servanne (3rd race/17.18 h/52,000 Euro/1200 m) Andreas Wöhler will saddle Danelo (Cristian Demuro), who recently finished third at Group 3 level in Dresden, for Gestüt Ittlingen.

The four-year-old, who is competing in France for the first time, will primarily be up against Andre Fabres Egot (Bauyrzhan Murzabayev), who currently ran in the Godolphin Mile (Group 2) in Meydan, but disappointingly finished last there. The stallion, who won the Prix du Palais-Royal (Group 3), is favourite over Loubeisien (Maxime Guyon), whose last win here was on the sand track against Le Cadeau (Tony Piccone). Wilderness Girl (Gerald Mosse) is an interesting guest from England, where she recently failed to convince at Doncaster, but narrowly missed winning at List level at Longchamp. Bouttemont (Christophe Soumillon) stayed in the desert, where the Barberot protégé did not manage anything worth counting. Last year he won the Prix de Meautry (Group 3) against Loubeisien and Le Cadeau.
