Hurdle classic in Auteuil with Willie Mullins

Auteuil, Saturday 20 May: The Grande Course de Haies d`Auteuil (3rd race/15.15/390,000 Euro/5100 m) is another classic for older hurdle horses on the obstacle course of the same name today.

For last year`s winner Hermes Baie (Bertrand Lestrade) it could work out again, but he has to run better than last time in the Prix Leon Rambaud (Group 2), in which he finished well over 20 lengths behind Goal Lil (Felix de Giles), Theleme (Gaetan Masure) and Folsom Prison (Jeremy da Silva) in fourth place. A notable opponent sends Willie Mullins into the fray from Ireland. Klassical Dream (Paul Townend) finished second twelve months ago, currently the gelding won the Champion Stayers Hurdle (Group 1) at Punchestown against stablemate Asterion Forlonge (Nico de Boinville), who is making his debut in France. Another interesting guest from the island is Flooring Porter (Daniel Mullins), for whom placings in the Cheltenham Stayers Hurdle (Grupep 1) ahead of Klassical Dream and in the Liverpool Hurdle (Grupep 1) speak.
