Mülheim opens April and the 2023 season

Mülheim, Sunday, 02 April: Cast off at the Raffelberg in Mülheim. That`s the motto on Sunday, when eight races will be held here between 11:20 and 15:00. The first five races are also part of the PMU programme in France. Which of the three-year-olds will make an immediate impression? That is the question ahead of two tests that are the focus here.

In the debutant race over 2,000 metres, Monaigle (A. Starke) is dazzlingly drawn and could win straight away for Gestüt Schlenderhan and trainer Markus Klug, but other candidates for higher orders are also under order.

In the winner`s race over 1-400 metres, Postman (A. Starke) should be another top chance for Markus Klug, as winning a 52,000 gives him good prospects. However, he will have to defeat interesting rivals in the form of Nerion (S. Vogt) and Montanus (A. v. d. Troost), who have been successful on a grand scale.

10,000 Euros will be paid out in the four-horse bet of the 7th race (Equalisation IV, 2,100 m). Miss Eagle (A. v. d. Troost) and Princess Maxi (M. Pecheur) are two of the options.
