Diamantis and Bukhara in the Prix Right Royal

Chantilly, Monday, 3 April: The grass track season has also opened in Chantilly, where eight races will be staged today on the `Piste du Jockey-Club`. The race of the day is the Prix Right Royal (5th race/16.10 h/52,000 Euro/3000 m), a Black Type test with German participation.

Andreas Wöhler saddles the Derby contender Bukhara (Clement Lecoeuvre). At his comeback here in December on the sand track he pleased as second and later he won his first race in Lyon as expected. The last race in Cagnes-sur-Mer, however, was sobering. In the beaten field Bukhara finished far behind Always Welcome (Theo Bachelot), who did everything right four lengths behind the winner and recently also took silver in the Prix de la Porte de Madrid (List race). Andreas Suborics is there with Diamantis (Martin Seidl), whose fourth place in the Prix Maurice de Nieuil (Group 2) is still a good memory. Flyingbeauty (Alexis Pouchin) fell short of expectations in the Prix Exbury (Group 3). In her case, the previous good performances at today`s level, among others, count. Golden Call (Maxime Guyon) started the season victoriously in Compiegne. The Pantall protégé has good chances as well as Williamette Valley (Mickael Barzalona), who ran very well at her French debut in Lyon.
