Four-year-olds in the Prix Ephrem Houel

Paris-Vincennes, Saturday 11 February: The highlight of today`s nine-race event at Vincennes is the Group 2 Prix Ephrem Houel (8th race/17.35/120,000 Euro/2100m). 13 four-year-old horses are competing to succeed Idao de Tillard, who was without a chance this year in the Prix d`Amérique after making a mistake.

On the same day, the Prix Ourasi (Group 1) was decided, in which there was a tough fight for the victory. Just Love You (Alexandre Abrivarde) had the advantage over Juninho Dry (Paul Philippe Ploquin), with Jag Stryck (Francois Lagadeuc), Justin Bold (Jean-Francois Senet), Jazzy Perrine (Eric Raffin) and Juliet Papa Bravo (Clement Duvaldestin) close behind. The latter disappointed after finishing narrowly beaten by Juniho Dry in the Prix Ready Cash (Group 1) for the win. Jazzy Perrine is overdue for victory. The mare, who runs faithfully in the honoured ranks, celebrated her last success in May last year in the Prix Ozo (Group 2). Joyner Sport (David Thomain) is among the absolute top of the year, but achieves his best performances under saddle. Jakartas des Pres (Maxime Bezier) also currently ran in the Monté, but the stallion has also shown strong performances in front of the sulky.
