In the Prix de la Californie (5th race/14.15 pm/55.000 Euro/1600 m/Dirt) ten three-year-olds will compete at List level. Brave Emperor (Luke Morris), who arrives from England with strong form, is considered the horse to beat. The locals are well placed with Cambronne (Marvin Grandin), Mqse de Maintenon (Stephane Pasquier), Showay (Anthony Crastus) and Machito (Antonio Orani), who won the Prix Joseph Collignon (Classe 1) here.

The Grand Prix de la Riviera Côte d`Azur (7th race/15.35 h/60,000 Euro/2000 m/Dirt) will also be decided at List level. German hopes rest on Stefan Richter`s Woodstone (Alexis Pouchin), who shone at last year`s meeting but faces a challenging task from the break. Hooking (Aurelien Lemaitre) and Kahuna ((Valentin Seguy) won here in preparation and Glaer (Jean-Bertrand Eyquem) also easily solved a flat race in Pau. Bakhchisaray (Maxime Guyon) was not much worse than Kahuna and is also considered for the front.
