Big revenge in the Prix de France

Paris-Vincennes, Sunday, 12 February: Two weeks after the Prix d`Amérique, the Prix de France (4th race/15.15 hrs/400,000 Euor/2100 m) will see a big revenge today. Eleven of the 16 `Amérique` participants will be crossing blades again and, with the exception of Italiano Vero, the five best-placed riders will also be taking part.

First and foremost the superior Hooker Berry (Nicolas Bazire), whose winning rider Jean-Michel Bazire gives preference to Beads this time, the winner of the Prix du Luxembourg (Group 2). Ampia Mede Sm (Franck Nivard) surprised in second place as did Hip Hop Haufor (Christian Bigeon) and Hohneck (Francois Lagadeuc), who were not far away for silver. Don Fanucci Zet (Yoann Lebourgeois) stayed well within his capabilities. The supporters expected more from Horsy Dream (Eric Raffin), who could shine in the preparation but remained pale in the `race of races`. Vivid Wise As (Matthieu Abrivard), who galloped without a preparation race, deserves a stronger hint as last year`s winner.
