Wow and Kiaz Apapa in Cagnes-sur-Mer

Cagnes-sur-Mer, Monday, 23 January: The week starts in Cagnes-sur-Mer with seven races. German chances abound, as in the Prix de la Sauge Pourpree (4th race/15.00/15.000 Euro/2000 m), a Grade `3` sales race.

Andreas Suborics will saddle Wow (Eddy Hardouin), who has been running exclusively on sand in recent months and has finished third twice recently. At the Cagnes meeting four years ago he ran several times without any countable success. Marian-Falk Weissmeier will try it with Stable Piccadilly`s Kiaz Apapa (Cristian Demuro), who finished third in Mülheim a year ago, but was beaten on the fibre sand track in Deauville. The two Germans are highly rated by the trade press, but they cannot afford any weaknesses against Manne (Hugo Boutin), who has repeatedly finished fourth. Huntba (Maxime Guyon) should also run better this time than a week ago over Turf, where the Pantall protégé was only third last.
