Three-year-olds in Cagnes-sur-Mer

Cagnes-sur-Mer, Wednesday, 18 June: The Riviera Meeting starts into the next round today, with the three-year-olds in focus. For the opening race in the Prix Louis Gautier Vignal (1st race/12.00/26,000 Euro/2000 m/Class 2), the Jean-Claude Rouget-trained Mojo Ego (Cristian Demuro) could start the season victoriously. The stallion, who finished fifth in the Prix de Condé (Group 3), is tested by Bay d`Argent (Antonio Orani) and Limesy (Anthony Crastus), for whom Jerome Reynier is responsible. Both two-year-olds won their last performances and left impressions for better tasks. Aversa (Ioritz Mendizabal) and Rosel (Maxime Guyon) are two other talented contenders who could be in line for a top placing.

In the following Prix des Iles du Frioul (2nd race/12.30/23,000 Euro/1500 m) three-year-old stallions/geldings are addressed. All eight participants are annual debutants and still winless. Nolito (Maxime Guyon) already showed beginnings and cannot be omitted. The same applies to Aquilon (Cristian Demuro), Torneo (Coralie Pacaut) and Rising Up (Marvin Grandin), who have placed so far and should not be missing from any consideration.
