Kilimanjaro in the Prix de Brionne

Paris-Vincennes, Tuesday, 17 January: The best class will be addressed at Vincennes today at the beginning in the Prix de Brionne (1st race/13.50/51,000 Euro/2700 m). The `Course Europeenne` is a yearling comparison between six- and nine-year-old horses that have not exceeded a winning sum of 175,000 euros.

Kilimanjaro (Robin Bakker), trained by Paul Hagoort, is one of the most promising candidates for victory. He currently won a better race in Wolvega as an outsider. Last year he ran in Munich, among other places, where he finished fourth in the Bayern-Pokal. Better rated is M.T. Oscar (Adrien Lamy), who finished a very good fifth here in the Prix du Perreux (Group 3) ahead of Harmoniously (Eric Raffin), but did not come around the course smoothly in his last appearance in a `D` race. Huylsse Digeo (Jean-William Hallais) started the year victoriously and should again play a leading role. Mateo de Rêve (Jean-Michel Bazire) runs equally strong in front of the sulky and under saddle. He could make a lot of money as well as Devs Definitif (Franck Nivard), who was excellent ten days ago at a higher level in fifth place.
