Jacksun and Mika d`O with chances in Cagnes-sur-Mer

Cagnes-sur-Mer, Thursday, 19 December: The meeting on the Riviera continues to gather pace. Michael Figge will saddle Jacksun (Aurelien Lemaitre), who has been very successful in France, in the Prix Robert Villeneuve-Bargemon (4th race/13.25 h/26,000 Euro/2500 m) and is one of the promising contenders for victory.

Things have not been going well for the nine-year-old at the moment, he did not finish higher than ninth in Lyon. Before that, he showed two strong performances in Saint-Cloud, with which he is expected to be far ahead today. The Munich rider will be helped by Stefan Richter, who wants to get Mika d`O (Alexis Pouchin) back on track after his recent strike result. A year ago, the Martinborough son ran three times here and returned to the stable with two placings in Quinté handicaps. The priority is to beat the immensely reliable Olympie (Christophe Soumillon), who always runs in the trifecta. In her defeat in Toulouse, Homo Deus (Anthony Crastus) was half a length better, but has more weight to carry this time. Pouvoir Royal (Cristian Demuro) was pleasing in third, confirming the win over Halimi (Antonio Orani) that came before.
