Last `GNT` stage in Mauquenchy

Mauquenchy, Wednesday 23 November: The 14th and last leg of the provincial Grand National du Trot (1st race/13.55 h/90,000 Euro/2850 m) takes place today in Mauquenchy. As usual, the Group 3 test requires an allowance from horses in the higher winning category.

Delia du Pommereux (Sylvain Roger), scheduled for the Prix d`Amérique, has to make up to 50 metres, as do Fado du Chêne (Paul Philippe Ploquin) and Gladys des Plaines (Benjamin Rochard), who are among the outsiders. From the basic brand, Gamay de l`Iron (Gabriele Gelormini) meets it much more favourably. The six-year-old tested second in Vincennes a good a fortnight ago and is thus in line to win. No less weak is Goeland d`Haufor (Charles Julien Bigeon), who had to acknowledge a higher-class opponent in front of him at the recent stage in Nantes, only narrowly beaten. Fragonard Delo (Franck Nivard) also took the top mark a length back. Falco d`Havaroche (Eric Raffin) and Edy du Pommereux (David Thomain) placed at `A` level eleven days ago in Vincennes. That must be enough to finish in the front here. Flower By Magalou (Anthony Barrier) continued her upward trend under saddle. She must not be missing in any bet along with the consistent Duel du Gers (Matthieu Abrivard), who stands a ribbon less favourably.
