Group and Listed Races in Toulouse

Toulouse, Friday, 11 November: Nine high-quality tests are on the programme in Toulouse in the south of France today. The first highlight is the Prix Fille de l`Air (4th race/15.50 h/80,000 Euro/2100 m), which belongs to Group 3 and addresses three-year-old and older mares. Aidan O`Brien, who is swimming on a wave of success, will travel from Ireland with Galleria Borghese (Wayne Lordan). The three-year-old already ran in Saint-Cloud, where she finished a good fourth in the Prix de Flore (Group 3) ahead of, among others, the unchallenged Jupyra (Gerald Mosse) and Alula Borealis (Theo Bachelot). Another guest mare from the island is Via Sistina (Jamie Spencer), who recently competed for victory at Group 3 level in Newmarket. Winema (Guillaume-Guedj-Gay) won the Prix Panacee (List Race) here safely against Finale Gesture (Mickael Barzalona) and Thunder Drum (Eddy Hardouin). The trio is expected to be in front again this time.

The Critérium du Languedoc (5th race/16.25 h/60,000 Euro/1600 m) is aimed at the youngest active age group. Ten proven winners will take part in this list race, including Lindy (Maxime Guyon), unbeaten in two starts, from the quarters of Christophe Ferland, who will saddle another fresh winner in Grace Period (Enzo Corallo). The only stallion in the field is Veritable (Mickael Barzalona), who also won his last local appearance. Solaire (Hugo Journiac) runs reliably to the front at all levels and should also get some good money this time, which also applies to Onyxka (Gregory Benoist), who has finished fifth twice at Group 3 level.
