Courageous performance by Keytothehill in the Prix Marcel Laurent

Paris-Vincennes, Thursday 10 November: It continues without interruption today at Vincennes, where the event kicks off with the Group 2 Prix Marcel Laurent (1st race/13.50/120,000 euros/2100m).

The yearling comparison between four- and five-year-old horses has a German background through Keytothehill (Björn Goop). The five-year-old, who failed to gallop in the German Derby two years ago, last ran in the Breeders Crown in Berlin and finished third, before which he won the €70,000 Super Trot Cup at the same venue. Keytothehill is hitting it harder than ever. Heraut d`Armes (Jean-Michel Bazire), who won the European Championships for five-year-olds (Group 1), and Hohneck (Francois Lagadeuc), who was beaten a length, are both claiming victory here, as is Idao de Tillard (Theo Duvaldestin), who once again showed in Bordeaux in the Grand Prix du Sud-Ouest (Group 1) that he is difficult to beat without a fault. The consistent Inoubliable (Eric Raffin) and Callmethebreeze (Andrea Guzzinati), who recently performed without success in Italy, are other contenders with good chances.
