Best Saddle Class in the Prix Reynolds

Paris-Vincennes, Monday, 7 November: The winter meeting on the Plateau de Gravelle, which has just started, continues today with eight races. In the best race of the day, ten saddle trotters of the higher winning category will compete in the Prix Reynolds (6th race/16.45/120,000 Euro/2175 m).

Most of them know each other from various battles, such as the Prix Camille Lepecq (Group 2), which Diamant de Treabat (Clement Frecelle) did not win as co-favourite, but finished a very good second ahead of Elvis d`Evron (Paul Philippe Ploquin) and Freeman de Houelle (Eric Raffin). In the previous encounter in the Prix de Londres (Group 2) in Enghien, the `diamond` again had to settle for second place. This time he was defeated by Chalimar de Guez (Jean-Yann Ricart), who scored his second Group 2 big point under saddle after the Prix WTW Hpcover on the day of the Prix d`Amérique. Etoile de Bruyere (Adrien Lamy) was currently practising in front of the sulky, but the results should not be taken as a yardstick. The mare achieved her best result this year as third in the Prix de Cornulier (Group 1). Freeman de Houelle took a short break after a summer intermezzo. Worth mentioning is her last triumph in the Prix Paul Delanoe (Group 3) here five months ago against Chalimar de Guez, Diamant de Trebat and Etoile de Bruyere. Dorgali (Mathieu Mottier) is the only competitor with fresh winning form.
