Top obstacle sports in Auteuil

Auteuil, Saturday, 24 September: Nine races will be decided today in Auteuil. The first main event leads over the chasing track. In the Prix The Fellow (5th race/16.25 h/135,000 Euro/4400 m) Diamond Carl (Bertrand Lestrade) should be able to continue his winning streak. The Nicolle representative will meet Victtorino (Clement Lefebvre), whom he took 17 lengths from in June. Altesse du Berlais (Baptiste Le Clerc) triumphed in the Prix Ferdinand Dufaure (Group 1) this year, beating Impressive (Johnny Charron) and Iceo Madrik (Dylan Ubeda) by a clear four lengths. La Manigance (Angelo Zuliani) did not manage to jump the jumps without an accident in that match, but is expected to be far ahead judging by his success in the Prix Jean Stern (Group 2).

Ten horses will compete over hurdles in the Prix de Compiegne (6th race/17.00/120.000 Euro/3900 m). Hermes Baie (Bertrand Lestrade), with his two Group victories in the first half, is among the closest favourites. Roberta Has (Angelo Zuliani), who currently has the Prix Christian de Tredern (Group 3) pinned to her banner, should be the fiercest rival. Porto Pollo (Nathalie Desoutter) is a model of reliability and is about to score his first race of the season. Colbert du Berlais (Ludovic Philipperon) almost won the Prix La Barka (Group 2). Folsom Prison (Jeremy Da Silva) has the class to beat them all.
