Listed races in Auteuil

Auteuil, Tuesday, 6 September: The obstacle stronghold in Auteuil is the venue for eight races today. The third Listed race will be run as Prix Melanos (5th race/14.25/100.000 Euro/3600 m), leads over the hurdle path and addresses four-year-old horses.

The only mare in the ten-strong field is Altesse du Berlais (Baptiste Le Clerc), who has not yet had to tolerate an opponent in front of her in four starts over the chasing course this year. Most recently, she won the classic Prix Ferdinand Dufaure against Tonguetted (Nathalie Desoutter), among others. Almost a year ago, she competed in the Prix de Chambly (Group 3) via today`s route and came in a distant fifth. Her main opponents include Sangho du Mathan (Gaetan Masure) and Mister Vision (Angelo Zuliani), who won similar tests in the first half of the year. Vae Patron (Jeremy Da Silva) runs consistently to the front and is a possible winner, as are Zaky (Lea Suisse), Little Thunder (Pierre-Alfred Grondin) and Master Nonantais (Felix de Giles), who triumphed in their recent appearances. Spirit of The Moon (Ludovic Philipperon) and File Au Poteau (Clement Lefebvre) present themselves again after a break.
