International Friday in Newbury

Newbury, Friday 16 September: Two days of top-class racing are promised at the Festival at Newbury, where today`s List-class Dubai Free Cup Stakes (6th race/5.03pm/40,000 pounds/1400m) is the highlight.

Sacred (Tom Marquand) has always run on an elevated level this year and did not finish higher than fifth. The task is tailor-made for the six-year-old, victorious here in last year`s Hungerford Stakes (Group 2), and she could run out a winner. On her most recent appearance in the City of York Stakes (Group 2), Sacred was better when sixth than Jumby (Charles Bishop), who could pin the aforementioned Hungerford Stakes to his banner a month ago. Shine So Bright (David Probert) won two handicaps this season but has sat out since May. Tacarib Bay (Rossa Ryan) and Saleymm (Ryan Moore) have had a successful season so far and are preferable to Heat Of The Moment (Hollie Doyle), who was last without a chance in the `Poule` at Longchamp.
