Group 3 at the Curragh

Curragh, Sunday, September 25: The first of two Group 3 races today at the Curragh is the Renaissance Stakes (4th race/16.05pm/55,000 euros/1210m). Last year`s show-stopping Art Power (David Allan) could do the double. He failed to finish above midfield in his last appearance in the Haydock Sprint Cup (Group 1), but showed a pleasing performance before that in the Duke of York Stakes (Group 2) when fourth. Sam Maximus (P. McDonald) enters the race as a fresh List winner with early chances. Power Under Me (Colin Keane) is a track specialist and should not be missed in any consideration. Just Beautiful (W. Lee) contested her first race in the Boomerang Mile 15 days ago after a break of more than a year. The four-year-old enters promoted. King of Bavaria (Ryan Moore) and Ano Syra (Kevin Manning) have found good form and should be earmarked for the surprise.
