Intuition the favorite in the Prix des Elites

Paris-Vincennes, Sunday, September 25: Another classic is on the program today in Paris with the Prix des Elites (8th race/5:35pm/240,000 euros/2175m). The trotting race is aimed at four-year-old horses, some of whom ran here in the Prix du President de la Republique (Group 1) and finished prominently. Foremost among them was Intuition (Adrien Lamy), who entered the race as a big underdog and could be spotted as a highly superior winner early on. To the Malmqvist mare, Ines des Rioults (Florian Desmigneux) still held up best. The four-year-old did not come in danger for second place and clearly behind, Ideale du Chêne (Paul Philippe Ploquin) and Ici C`Est Paris (Francois Lagadeuc), who have dominated the saddle class so far, played no role. Intuition was also in a class of its own in the Prix Emile Riotteau (Group 2), with Ines des Rioults and Ideale du Chêne once again taking the places. Ibra du Loisir (Alexandre Abrivard) had nothing to report in his saddle debut in the Prix Camille de Wazieres (Group 2) behind Ici C`Est Paris, but the stallion is expected to be far in front this time. Irina du Ris (Mathieu Mottier), who has won in lower classes so far, must be taken into account.
