German victory in the Quinté Handicap?

Lyon, Monday, 27 June: At the Hippodrome in Lyon, after an eventful Sunday, the next event is immediately on the programme, which is introduced by the Prix Federation des Courses du Centre-Est (1st race/13.50 h/50.000 Euro/2000 m). Waldemar Hickst saddles Kabir (Eddy Hardouin) with maximum weight. After two starts of the season without success, this time the cash register could ring for the seven-year-old, who recently won in Longchamp. Carmen Bocskai is represented by Vents Contraires (Aurelien Lemaitre), who runs for the Galoppclub Iffezheim. At the neighbouring track in Lyon-La Soir, he finished a very good fifth in the `Classe 1` in April ahead of Morton (Gerald Mosse), since then the gelding has not been at the expiry. Vents Contraires will be helped by Santurin (Mickael Forest), who is coming off two strong Quinté handicaps. Hans Blume`s Salduro (Hugo Besnier) surprised in his most recent start by finishing third ahead of Santurin, who came away empty-handed in a dense pack 15 days ago, but stayed ahead of Mirage Reve (Ioritz Mendizabal) and Tonnencourt (Delphine Santiago). Michael Figge will travel from Munich with Jacksun (Clement Lecoeuvre). His third place in the Grand Handicap de Paris-Longchamp ahead of Go With The Wind (Stephane Pasquier), who had won here in May ahead of Electron Libre (Anthony Crastus), among others, is well remembered.
