Anything is possible in the Dortmund Grand Prix

Dortmund, Sunday, 19 June: The Group 3 Grand Prix of the Economy (5th race/15.55 h/1800 m) gathers ten horses at the start in Dortmund today. Georgios (Sibylle Vogt) from Peter Schiergen`s stable, who surprisingly came third in the Mehl-Mülhens race, is one of the closest favourites this time. The favourable weight also speaks in his favour.

Peace Warrior (Jozef Bojko), who returned from France with an honourable mention, also benefits from a low mark. In contrast, Mythico (Rene Piechulek) and Rubaiyat (Alexander Pietsch), who are fighting for victory in the Spring Mile (Group 3), have to carry the most lead. However, both failed to convince in further appearances. Parol (Adrie de Vries) is a model of reliability, which he clearly proved recently in the Baden Mile (Group 2) when finishing third ahead of Novemba, who ran strongly at Ascot. A tad better in that match was Zavaro (Miguel Lopez), who was soon to score a Group win. Sea Of Marengo (Maxim Pecheur) held his own behind the latter and finished well ahead of Mythico. The little tested Aguirre (Andrasch Starke) is not entered in such a test for nothing. Sahib`s Joy (Bayarsaikhan Ganbat) is last year`s runner-up ahead of Mythico.
