Strong mares in the Prix Hopper

Compiegne, Tuesday, 26 April: Two Listed races frame the Group 3 Prix Hopper in Compiegne today (4th race/15.35 h/135,000 Euro/3900 m). The hunter test is aimed at four-year-old horses.

Two mares are in the role of favourites. La Boetie (Kevin Nabet) and Ma Beaute (Ludovic Philipperon) won easily and superiorly respectively here in the preparation and are two pounds more favourable in the race than the remaining five geldings. Showly (Tristan Lemagnen) and Gibralfaro (Theo Chevillard) performed well in their last starts up front and should be noted, as should Bahiosun (Anthony Renard), who surprised here in October. Drop The Pilot (Clement Lefebvre) and Hunion Delablairie (Johnny Charron), who have run over hurdles so far, deserve a mention.
