Latino des Isles and L`Autonomie the stars in Auteuil

Auteuil, Sunday, 24 April: Two races in the Group 2 category mark the highlights in Auteuil today.
The Prix Jean Stern (5th race/16.25 h/210,000 Euro/4400 m) appeals to four-year-old horses and runs over the Hunt course. After two successful performances this year by Latino des Isles (Tristan Lemagnen) in the Prix Fleuret (Group 3) and the Prix Duc d`Anjou (Group 3), the way to victory leads through the gelding. Tonguetted (James Reveley) was in touch with him and is again in contention for a top placing. Sans Bruit (Kevin Nabet) won in strong fashion recently and, like La Manigance (Theo Chevillard) who has been showing up at Listed level, is a horse for better assignments.

Seven hurdle specialists will contest the Prix Leon Rambaud (7th race/17.35/155,000 Euro/4300 m). Despite the highest mark, L`Autonomie (Angelo Zuliani) should not be denied success. In her season debut in the Prix Hypothese (Group 3) she did not let any opponent get too close. Porto Pollo (Lucas Zuliani), Theleme (Tristan Lemagnen), Colbert du Berlais (Ludovic Philipperon), Folsom Prison (Jeremy da Silva) and Hermes Baies (Bertrand Lestrade) had to acknowledge the superiority of the mare without envy. The seven-year-old has to watch out for Galop Marin (Felix de Giles), who gave her a severe defeat in the Grand Prix d`Automne (Group 1).
