Dr. Busch Memorial attracts the hopefuls to Krefeld

Krefeld, Sunday, 24 April: The Derby in Hamburg is just over two months away, and the first classic of the stallions for the Mehl-Mülhens-Rennen is not far away either. These major events are already casting their shadows on Sunday, when an important preliminary test is scheduled in Krefeld with the Grand Jubilee Prize ("125 Years of Wohnstätte Krefeld" - Dr. Busch Memorial (Group III, 55,000 Euros, 1,700 m).

The successor to Best of Lips is being sought. In the field of ten, Georgios (B. Murzabayev) deserves a hint, who last caught Ariolo (M. Pecheur) in Düsseldorf. Both horses belong on the shortlist. Trainer Markus Klug can draw on a wide range of horses, including Schwarzer Peter (A. Helfenbein), the runner-up in the Prize of the Winter Favourites, as well as the Junior Prize winner Mylady (A. Starke) and Ariolo (M. Pecheur). The mare in particular should enjoy a lot of confidence. Rocchigiani (S. Vogt) already won a group race in 2021.

The group race is embedded in a card of seven races between 11:20 am and 2:30 pm. The first five races are also part of the PMU programme in France.

The four-race bet with a guaranteed payout of 10,000 Euros will be played out in the 6th race (Equalisation III, 1,300 m). The impressive track winner Bastiano (J. Bojko) should lead the way to success.
