Defending champion Vivid Wise As against Etonnant

Enghien, Saturday 23 April: The twelve-horse Prix de l`Atlantique (7th race/5.37pm/200,000 euros/2150m) is the standout event at Enghien today. Five participants were last seen in the Grand Critérium de Vitesse de la Côte d`Azur (Group 1).

Etonnant (Anthony Barrier) recalled his best form and defeated Vivid Wise As (Matthieu Abrivard), winner of the Prix de France (Group 1), after a tough fight. Alcoy (Christophe Martens) and Delia du Pommereux (David Thomain) collected better premiums not far behind and Vitruvio (Alexandre Abrivard) finished in midfield. Last year, Vivid Wise As won in the trainer`s hand against the Westerink protégé, who in turn had nothing to fear from Delia du Pommereux taking the honours. The recent duel could be disturbed by Callmethebreeze (Andrea Guzzinati) and Feydeau Seven (Nicolas Bazire), who were both in the picture behind the winner in the Prix du Plateau de Gravelle (Group 3).
