Interesting three-year-olds in the Prix le Sancy

Chantilly, Monday 4 April: The Derby track in Chantilly has nine races on offer to start the week. Among the better races is the Prix le Sancy (3rd race/14.50pm/€35,000/1200m), reserved for three-year-olds, which pits six mares against two stallions.

The highest weight is carried by Le Cadeau (Mickael Barzalona), trained by Henri-Alex Pantall. The sander-tested Dabirsim son impressed here on his seasonal debut in a Listed race when finishing a close fourth and with further improvement he is expected to win. Sunday Best (Christophe Soumillon) and Josejosephine (Yoann Rousset) made their acquaintance in the Prix d`Arenberg at Group 3 level, but did not play a role. Their good performances outside the higher level races speak for them. Diadema (Stephane Pasquier) pleased in her last appearance in Vichy when she finished second ahead of Miramar (Ronan Thomas), who was a good List fourth in Deauville before the break. Sassy Rascal (Delphine Santiago) runs for German interests and is prepared by Erika Mäder. Like her travelling companion Summer`s Day (Pierre Bazire), the newcomer from England can point to decent performances. Ivory Spring (Maxime Guyon) is overdue for victory after three consecutive honours this year.
