4 poor meetings today

more low grade stuff today, with jumping at Doncaster, Fakenham and Wexford (Ireland) plus a poor all-weather flat card at Southwell. Willie Mullins and Ruby Walsh should continue their winning run at Wexford, where we expect all 3 of their runners to win- Aminabad at 13.45 CET and Measureofmydreams half an hour later, both decent bumper winners making their debut over hurdles, and ex-French Vroom Vroom Mag at 15.45; however you will not get rich backing any of them, as they will all be very short in the betting.

There are very small fields at Fakenham and ir could be significant that Paul Nicholls has sent Sam Twiston-Davides for just one ride - Vicente, who makes his fencing debut at 15.30; he has smart hurdling form and if he jumps round, should win.

Doncaster certainly offers the best betting opportunities. although this is a relatively poor card for the track. Nick Scholfield partners the Nicholls runners here and Annalulu, a non-runner yesterday after the rain turned the track heavy at Leicester, can make up for lost time in the 3yo hurdle at 14.20. Saints and Sinners (Mick Easterby/ Jake Greenall), making his seasonal debut on a course where his trainer always does well, is our each-way selection at 14.50, while the handicap chase over 2 1/2 miles an hour later is the best race of the day. Mick Easterby can take this as well with top-weight Shadows Lengthen (Brian Harding), who is not especially well handicapped but has clearly the best form in the race. Lightly-weighted Crazy Jack (Kim Bailey/ Jason Maguire) is difficult to assess but could be the principal danger.

Betting forecast Fakenham:

2. Race: Jewellery - Southway Star - Tea Caddy
3. Race: Nellie The Elegant - Grimley Girl - Istimraar
4. Race: Warden Hill - Hazzaat - Warden Hill
5. Race: Blue Sea Of Ibrox - Barton Heather - Cash For Steel
6. Race: Carobello - Larteta - Full Ov Beans
