heavy going

the going is heavy at today´s 2 jumps meetings at Leicester and Plumpton, which does not make punting any easier. However some of the leading trainers are in action and we especially like the Nicholls/ Twiston-Davies team at Plumpton and the King/ Hutchinson combination at the Midlands track.
Nicholls starts off with As De Mee in the novice hurdle at 14.00 CET; he was favourite on his hurdles debut but did not jump too well, with the stable now in much better form he can perhaps defeat the likely odds-on favourite Seedling, penalised for an easy win over this CD a fortnight ago. Half an hour later he runs Far West in the novice chase; again he has a serious opponent in Deputy Dan, as they were of similar ability over hurdles. More Bucks, closely related to the stable´s star staying hurdler Big Bucks, makes his debut over sticks at 15.00; he would need only a fraction of his relative´s ability to win here.
At Leicester, King kicks off with Nyanza, who has a good German pedigree, in the hurdle race for 3yo fillies at 13.45; she made an impressive winning debut and the only danger looks to be the equally penalised Isabella Liberty. The King team can finish the day with Miles to Memphis at 16.50, who can remain unbeaten and looks a major prospect. In between KIng runs Mystery Drama in the handicap hurdle at 15.20, the best betting race of the day, and Gone Too Far in the beginners chase at 15.50; however that is a pretty tough race, with smart hurdlers Docs Trouble and Three Kingdoms both expected to do well on their chasing debut, while Thomas Crapper has already shown good form over fences.
