Mullins and Walsh

Yesterday we correctly predicted that all 3 runners at Wexford trained by Willie Mullins and ridden by Ruby Walsh would be successful, and today we expect their winning run to continue at Fairyhouse. They Team up with Aklan at 13.35 CET and Shaneshill an hour later. Aklan made an impressive winning debut over hurdles and his only danger is probably stable-companion Digeanta (Paul Townend), but the really interesting one is Shaneshill, a top bumper horses last year, runner-up at Cheltenham and winner at Punchestown, who is expected to go right to the top over hurdles. Mullins´ other runners here, Outlander (Bryan Cooper) at 14.05, and Arkrisht (ridden by son Paddy) could also win, so another highly successful day for the Co. Carlow trainer seems to be on the cards.

There is only one horse running in the U.K. today who can be mentiokned in the same breath, and that is Ptit Zig (Paul Nicholls/ Sam Twiston-Davies) who appears to have a simple task in the novice chase at Warwick at 15.10. A top hurdler and sixth in the Champion Hurdle, he won his first chase easily enough and a penalty should not stop him here; Arthur´s Secret (Nigel Twiston-Davies/ Jamie Moore) can follow him home.

The rest of the Warwick card looks very uninspiring and the same goes for the other N.H. fixture at Hexham and also this afternoon´s all-weather card at Lingfield, but Kempton this evening stages a listed race over a mile at 19.25 which has atttracted a very strong field, including a runner from France, Cladocera (Alain de Royer-Dupre/ Antoine Hamelin). Graphic (William Haggas/ Seb Sanders) was a beaten favourite here last year, while stable-companion, the Queen´s Prince´s Trust, won in very good style last time. But the one to beat is surely Captain Cat (Roger Charlton/ James Doyle), a proven group race performer and a close fifth last time in the Group One QE II, easily the best form on offer here. We also like oldtimer Premio Loco (Chris Wall/ George Baker), who has plenty of smart all-weather form to his credit
