McCoy to beat Pipe´s record today

Tony McCoy is currently stuck on 4,190 winners - an amazing total in itself- but has long made it clear that his immediate target is to beat David Pipe´s British record of 4,191 (achieved as a trainer), We think that he can manage this today, when he has 3 rides at Uttoxeter this afternoon and 4 more at Worcester this evening. He only has an hour to get between the two tracks, which is pretty tight, but we assume there will a helicopter waiting for him. His rides are Zip Wire at 15.50 CET, On The Record at 17.10 and Dashing Over at 18.20 this afternoon, and Old Pals Act at 19.20, My Nosy Rosy at 20.25, Crannaghmore Boy half an hour later and Think Out Loud at 22.00 this evening. We don´t really recommend betting on them, as some will start at very short odds, but we certainly hope he reaches his target today and ends a frustrating few days.

Another couple that can land an across the card double, this time on the flat, are Michael Bell, now back in form after a slow start to the season, and his smart apprentice Louis Steward. They can take Lingfield´s main event this afternoon with Fashion Line at 16.40 and Sandown´s evening feature with George Cinq at 20.40.
