Galway: day five

the Galway Festival continues this evening on very heavy going - so bad in fact that the starting stalls cannot be used and all races will be started by flag.
Once again we expect Dermot Weld to be among the winners - 8 of them so far this week- and Backdrop at 18.05 CET, Calibrate at 19.15 and Unaccompanied, all ridden by Pat Smullen, look likely winners at short prices. His runners will start at better odds in the handicaps, but of course they do not look quite so easy, but we still expect Secret Locket.at 18.40 and Show Court in the top race of the day at 19.,50, both with Smullen, and over jumps, Dancers Dilemma (Robbie McNamara) at 21.25. Unaccompanied is probably the best thing of the day; this smart dual purpose performer loves heavy ground and is very well treated by the race conditions. Military Bowl (Tony Martin/ Fran Berry) and Justification (Aidan and Joseph O´Brien) are the two for the places here.

Betting forecast:
1. Race: Trikala - Backdrop - Hidden Oasis
2. Race: Woodsophiesmile - Snakes And Ladders - Janna`s Jingle
3. Race: Agreement - Calibrate - Roman Romance
4. Race: Show Court - Kingdom - Plinth
5. Race: Unaccompanied - Military Bowl - Justification
6. Race: Another Ambition - Our Girl Lucy - Churchfield Champ
7. Race: Dancers Dilemma - Treacy Hotels Boy - Admiral Hawke
