Seamie won the Oaks yesterday on the stablé´ s outsider but this will certainly not happen today. St. Nicholas Abbey in the class act in the field, he won the race last year and ought to win again, but he is not one to take a short price about. We prefer to take a chance on Masked Marvel (John Gosden/ Wiliam Buick) despite his poor showing last time.

There are also two listed races, with rather weak fields, and the handicaps are much more interesting for betting purposes, especially the Dash over 5 furlongs at 16.15. This is always one of the craziest races of the year and luck in running is the most important factor. However it is wise to back horss with a high number, as the winner usually comes up the stands rail. Lat yar´s wimnner, top-weight Captain Dunne (Tim Easterby/David Allan) is drawn 11, which is o.k. but not brilliant; we suggest Sohraab (Hughie Morrison/ Kieren O´Neill), drawn 19, or Arctic Feeling (Richard Fahey/ Paul Hanagan), drawn 17.
