3 listed races at Naas

the lucky Irish do not have to worry about the absurd cermonial of an outdated monarchy, but they also have a holiday today and have better racing too, with 3 listed races at Naas. Two of them are for 2yo´s over 6 furlongs, and both Richard Hannon with Richard Hughes riding) and Mick Channon (Matthew Davies) send over runners from England. Channon is in great form, but Hannon´s contestants, both winners at Goodwood of their only start, look stronger and we expect Mister Marc at 17.10 CET and Sky Lantern in the fillies race at 17.45 to go close. The unbeaten Dawn Approach (Jim Bolger/ Kevin Manning) and Cougar Ridge (David Wachman/ Wayne Lordan) look dangerous in the former race, while the well-bred debutant Pedro the Great (Aidan and Joseph O´Brien) obviously must be taken seriously as well. Scream Blue Murder (Tommy Stack/ Lordan) looks the main threat in the fillies event - but what an awful name for a racehorse!

The other listed race is over 7 furlongs at 16.00. Ahaaly (Kevin Prendergast/ Declan McDonogh), the only 3yo in the field, was an easy winner of a maiden at Dundalk, and can take this step up in grade in her stride.

Betting forecast:
1. Race: Reaching - Maude Adams - Sparkling Rock
2. Race: Gordon Lord Byron - Banna Boirche - Ahaaly
3. Race: Whipless - Fairy Wing - Bold Thady Quill
4. Race: Cougar Ridge - Pedro The Great - Mister Marc
5. Race: Sky Lantern - Nandiga - True Verdict
6. Race: Dark Passion - Crimson Sunrise - Heavy Weight
7. Race: Legendary Times - Mahaazen - Opa Loca
