4 Grade One races at Leopardstown

Last Sunday´s abandoned Irish meeting has been rescheduled for today and most of the original entries have stood their ground on an excellent card with the ground expected to be very testing.
Main feature is the Hennessy Gold Cup over 3 miles at 16.15 CET. Joncol (Paul Nolan/ Aidan Cawley) won this race a year ago and holds a leading chance again, although he finished behind Money Trix (Nicky Richards/ Davy Russell) in the Lexus Chase here at the Christmas meeting. In the same race, The Listener (Nick Williams/ Andrew McNamara), another British-trained grey, finished fifth after making most of the running, while Kempes (Willie Mullins/ David Casey) was still in contention when falling. It could be close between these four, but we make The Listener (each way), who loves it here, our selection.
Mullins has two runners in the Dr PJ Moriarty Novice Chase at 14.45, and Mikael d´Haguenet (Paul Townend) looks the stable selected over Quel Esprit (Emmet Mullins), despite a poor effort last time, However Magnanimity (Dessie Hughes/ Davy Russell) could well beat them both.
There are some great trainers in Ireland, but surely Dermot Weld is the king of them all, and we expect Unccompanied (Townend) to take the 4yo hurdle at 14.10 and also hope to see Hidden Universe (Robbie McNamara) run well in the Deloitte Novice Hurdle at 15.45. he is taking a huge leap in class - as is German-bred Shot in the Hip- but he won his maiden so impressively that we feel that he is up to the task.

Betting forecast:
1. Race: Unaccompanied - Indian Daudaie - Sailors Warn
2. Race: Mikael D`Haguenet - Quel Esprit - Magnanimity
3. Race: Missgiloney - Rory Anna - Kylebeg Krystle
4. Race: Zaidpour - Hidden Universe - Shot From The Hip

6. Race: Rahan De Marcigny - Askthemaster - Sounds Of Jupiter
7. Race: On The Fringe - King Johns Castle - Rudi Trucker
