no racing in Britain and Ireland today

There will be no racing today in the U.K. and Ireland after the remaining meetings fell victim to the wintry weather this morning. Prospects for the next few days remain very poor; both Ffos Las and Taunton have been frozen off tomorrow, while Punchestown looks doubtful. The N.H. meetings scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday also look very unlikely to go ahead. Kempton are planning an additional N.H. flat race meeting on Tuesday and have received a huge entry. Prospects for their big King George meeting on Boxing Day next Sunday look better, as the weather is expected to improve later in the week.
