Kempton this afternoon the only meeting left today

With all N.H. racing off again, Kempton this afternoon (switched from the evening) is now the only racing left today, but the card is not inspiring.Best bet of the day should be Iron Condor (James Eustace/ Luke Morris) in the 3yo handicap over 1 1/2 miles at 17.00 CET. He has already won twice over CD recently and put up his best performance here on Sunday when runner-up to hot favourite Spensley. A repetition of that form would be good enough for him to go one better now. Morris could be in for a good day, as he has several other promising rides, notably Mark Usher´s May´s Boy in the 2yo handicap at 16.30; he is penalised 6 lbs for an easy CD win last week, but is now in a better grade and Muntasib (Marcus Tregoning/ Richard Hills), who won a Lingfield maiden in October, looks a real danger. It is Hills´ only ride of the day.

The mile maiden at 16.00 is for 3-, 4-, and 5yo´s but in fact all 10 runners are aged 3. The two likeliest candidates are Handsome King (John Jenkins/ Fergus Sweeney) and Faithful Duchess (Ed Vaughan/ Jamie Spencer).

The 3 handicaps over 6 furlongs which close the card all look really tricky, but we fancy that Vhujon (David Evans/ Cathy Gannon) at 17.30 and Dvinsky (Paul Howling/Jimmy Quinn) an hour later may be worth a tiny each-way investment.

Betting forecast:
1. Race: Ymir - Kadouchski - Abhainn
2. Race: Danzigs Grandchild - Skeleton - Danube Dancer
3. Race: Handsome King - Faithful Duchess - Libertino
4. Race: Muntasib - Dozy Joe - May`S Boy
5. Race: Iron Condor - Valid Reason - Gomrath
6. Race: Dark Lane - Vhujon - Flash Mcgahon
7. Race: Hidden Destiny - Cavitie - Mack`S Sister
8. Race: Liberty Trail - Doctor Hilary - Whatyouwoodwishfor
