Grim outlook continues for N.H. racing

All today´s 4 N.H. fixtures - Ayr, Catterick, Plumpton and Navan in Ireland, have fallen victim to the weather, so the only racing today is on Kempton´s all weather track; originally scheduled as an evening meeting, this has now very sensibly been switched to the afternoon. It is the same story tomorrow, where the only racing will be on the all-weather - including a new fixture at Lingfield - and all N.H. meetings - Leicester, Market Rasen, Wincanton and Fairyhouse (Ireland) have already been abandoned. The loss of Fairyhouse´s big meeting, with 7 graded races, is especially annoying, as this was already rescheduled from last weekend; it is now hoped to stage the meeting next Wednesday, December 8th.

The outlook for the weekend does not look much better, with Exeter on Friday and Sandown´s big two-day fixture looking doubtful, as well as the big Sunday card in Ireland at Punchestown. There is however expected to be a slight improvement in the weather next week.
