all-weather racing today

there is all-weather today at Lingfield and Dundalk, both with very low level racing.
At Lingfield, the 7 furlongs handicap for 2yo´s seems to lie between the top weights Podgie´s Boy (Richard Fahey/ Tom Eaves) and Georgie Iris (Dane O´Neill), one of two Richard Hannon runners. We prefer the former, and the same team can score half an hour later with another top-weight Sioux Rising, who has been running in better events. However this 6 furlong handicap is a very open race, and we are afraid of Baby Dottie (Paul Phelan/ Ian Mongan), who after a series of places got off the mark with a very easy maiden success this CD and whose handicap rating seems reasonable. In th two divisions of the 5 furlongs handicap which close the card our each-way choices are Chjimes (Conor Dore/ Robert Winston) at 16.00 and Edith´s Boy (Simon Dow/ Hayley Turner) half an hour later, both of whom have shown their best form at this track.
There are some large fields at the Irish meeting at Dundalk, but some of the horses engaged ran here yesterday, so the non-runners list must be checked. Aidan O `Brien is trying to support his son Joseph´s efforts to be crowned Irish champion apprentice and the duo have several chances, the best probably being the well-bred Amazing Beauty in the 3yo fillies maiden at 14.35. Easily the best race of the day is the10 1/2 furlongs handicap at 17.05. Useful hurdler Pires (Tony Martin/ Fran Berry) is also a useful performer on the flat and should go close, but we prefer Elusive Ridge (Harry Rogers/ Pat Smullen) and Westflower Boy (Eddie Lynam/ Wayne Lordan), both CD winners last time out.
