Lingfield, Sedgefield and Southwell (a.w.)

Tuesday is often the worst day of the week in British racing and today is no exception, with low grade racing at all 3 tracks.
At Lingfield L´Accordioniste (Nigel Twiston-Davies/ Paddy Brennan) looks the best thing of the day in the mares novice hurdle at 14.20 CET. She is not one of the stars in her powerful and in-form yard, but has won both her starts; they were modest affairs, but so is this. The beginners chase at 14.50 should lie between Lord Singer (Gary and Jamie Moore) and Pascha Bere (Nick Gifford/ Liam Treadwell), who were both placed in better company last time; we prefer the first-named, who should be better suited by the conditions today. The handicap chase over 3 miles at 15.50 has only 5 runners, but still looks quite open. Kim Bailey is in great form and his Supreme Plan (Sean Quinlan) has an obvious chance to defy top weight, but faces strong opposition from the two last-time-out winners Aztec Treasure (Jonjo O´Neill/ Tony McCoy) and Digger Gets Lucy (Gifford/ Treadwell).
Best bet at Sedgefield is Chamirey (Donald McCain/ Jason Maguire), who can make a winning debut over fences in the beginners chase at 14.20. He was pulled up when last seen in April, but that was a Grade One race, and his overall hurdles form is far superior to that of his rivals now. Amos/ James Reveley), in the handicap chase at 16.00, and Spice Bar (Declan Carroll/ Barry Keniry) half an hour later were both last-time-out winners expected to follow up today. However in both cases it was their first ever win after a long dry spell, and we would certainly not go overboard at the expected short prices.
At Southwell, the well-bred ABBA runner Miniyamba (John Dunlop/ Eddie Ahern) could finally get off the mark in the 1 1/2 mile maiden at 14.10. Shouda (Barney Curley/ Tom Queally) has an excellent German pedigree, but runners from this stable are always difficult to predict. Another well-bred runner is Affinity (James Given/ Tom Eaves), who has a good chance in the handicap over the same trip at 15.40.
