group race at Fairyhouse this evening

easily the best race to be run today in the U.K. and Ireland is the Group Three Brownstown Stakes for fillies and mares over 7 furlongs at 20.30 CET this evening at Fairyhouse. This has attracted a good field, with two runners from England - Distinctive (Bryan Smart/ Tom Eaves) and Sent from Heaven (Barry and Michael Hills). The latter had no chance last time in the Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot, but obviously this race is much easier and the distance probably more convenient. Of the locals, the in-foal Miss Gorica (Joanna Morgan/ Wayne Lordan) is best of the older brigade, while of the 3yo´s we like Bewitched (Charles O´Brien/ Johnny Murtagh) -possibly better as a sprinter- Kitty Kiernan (Jim Bolger/ Kevin Manning) and Queen of Troy (Aidan O´Brien/ Seamus Heffernan). However Sent from Heaven has some good form to her credit and is the selection.
