Catterick, Worcester and Perth this afternoon

jumps racing is in the limelight this afternoon with N.H. racing at Perth and Worcester, while the only flat meeting is at Catterick. Perth stages the first of a two day meeting with a strong Irish challenge in almost every race. Gordon Elliott in particular has a tremendous record at the Scottish tracks and we can easily imagine his winning several races. Paul Carberry partners all his runners, of whom Abbey Lane at 15.20 CET, Grand Opera at 15.50, Millrock Lady at 16.20, King Roonah at 17.20 and Wikaala at 17.50 all have winning chances. It is by no means inconceivable that Irish trainers will go through the card here.
The team to follow at Worcester, as so often, is trainer Jonjo O´Neill and jockey Tony McCoy. Chsapeake at 15.40, Khazar at 16.10, Kilshannig at 17.40 and Good Harvest at 18.10 are their runners, and O´ Neill can also score with Space Telescope at 15.10 with Richie McLerrnon, and McCoy has prospects on SRB Crawford´ s Now This is It, who has top-weight in the handicap hurdle at 17.10.
The card at Catterick is not inspiring. Paul Hanagan, who has ridden 7 winners already this week and is now clear leader in the jockeys´ table, has a full book of rides, but not many of them have winning chances; his best hope is probably Glenridding in the 7 furlongs handicap at 17.30.
