Grand Prix de Compiegne

big race in France today is the listed Grand Prix de Compiegne for 4yo´s and up over 2000 metres at 15.40 CET. There could well be a German winner here as both Falun (Andreas Trybuhl/ Ioritz Mendizibal) and Budai (Waldemar Hickst/ Dominique Boeuf) are in good form. The former in particular made a most positive impression when winning the Sachsen-Preis at Dresden last time. Best of the French-trained runners are German-owned Superstition (Alain de Royer-Dupré/ Gerald Mosse´) and Via Col Vento (Jean-Marie Beguigné/ Olivier Peslier). Plenty of German runners on the undercard as well, with Werner Baltromei sending a strong team. His best chance, in our view is Wise Boy (Frankie Leroy) in the 1400 metres claimer for 3yo´s for apprentices and jeunes jockeys.
