Newton Abbot and Killarney (Ireland) this evening

Killarney stages the third and final day of its May meeting with a mixed card - three chases and four flat races. Best bet over jumps could be Woodbine Willie (Philip Fenton/ Brian O´Connell) in the novice chase at 19.40 CET. This one ran really well at the Punchestown festival and the extra distance today should be in his favour. Tracy Collins has her string in good form and can take the 3yo maiden at 20.10 with Prince Jock (Pat Shanahan), where the Aga Khan´s Shareen (John Oxx/ Fran Berry) looks the obvious danger, while Dermot Weld´s Natural High (Pat Smullen) appears to have little to beat in the 1 3/4 mile race at 21.40.

At Newton Abbot, Tony McCoy can win the mares novice hurdle at 19.50 on Nicky Henderson´s Synthe Davis. She was still in with a chance when falling at the last on her most recent outing, and was placed 4 tims before that. The novice chase at 20.00 is the best race here, even with only 4 runners. Lady an Co (Paul Nicholls/ Harry Skelton), Lavirco mare who has won 3 of her last 4 races, is taken to defeat Cockney Trucker (Philip Hobbs/ Richard Johnson),an odds-on favourite when falling at Ascot last time.
