All-weather racing at Lingfield and Wolverhampton

More moderst sport at today´s two al-weather meetings. At Lingfield, Clive Brittain, whos 3yo´s ar in good form, can take the 6 furlongs handicap at 17.10 CET with Areeda (Neil Callan), who won her only start this season from a horse that boosted the form by winning yesterday. The most competitive race here is the 3yo handicap over 7 furlongs at 18.15. Knightfire (Walter Swinburn/ Shane Kelly) has been runner-up 4 times running and deserves to win soon, but our preference is for top-weight Candyfloss Girl (Harry Dunlop/ Seb Sanders), a winner here over 6 furlongs last time. Mark Johnston´s Honest Broker (Joe Fanning) has shown little so far but cannot be ignored off a light weight with the stable still in top form.

At Wolverhampton this evening, the 2 mile handicap at 19.05 looks the best race. Admiral Duque (Derek Ffrench Davis/ Billy Cray) and Benedict Spirit (David Evans/ Mark Lane) both won here last time over a shorter trip, but Rose Row (Mary Hambro/ George Baker) is proven over the distance and therefore gets the vote. Mark Johnston saddles another disappointing performer here, Understudy (Greg Fairley) in the maiden race at 21.05, but he is surely capable of more than he has shown so far and can get off the mark here.
