Ayr abandoned

Today´s N.H. meeting at Ayr has been abandoned because the ground is frozen. With cold weathe and snow continuing in N. England and Scotland, and very wet weather in the south, there could still be more problems to come, and tomorrow´s meeting at Sandown is looking doubtful, as the track is waterlogged in places. However officials are optimistic that the big meeting in Saturday at Kempton (Racing Post Chase) will go ahead.
